What does an internship at Dowbuilt look like?

Program Structure

Dowbuilt internships are full-time (eight hours per day, Monday-Friday) for 10 weeks during the summer, starting the first week of June and going through the first full week in August. Internship lengths can be extended based on the intern, manager, and location.

Peer Mentors

You will be matched with a junior-level “go-to” person for guidance and feedback on matters that may extend beyond your work. Peer mentor relationships promote professional growth and development and provide an avenue for questions that you may not feel comfortable asking your direct supervisor.

“Meet & Greet” Session

A “Meet & Greet” session will be scheduled for all interns, managers, mentors, and others who participate in the summer internship experience at Dowbuilt. The goal of this session is to orient you to the company and provide a forum for everyone to get to know one another, the Dowbuilt culture, and overall expectations.

Department Info Sessions

Interns will learn more about the following areas of our business through info sessions and tours (as applicable based on location):

  • Digital Construction
  • Estimating
  • Seattle Millwork Shop
  • Safety
  • Service
  • Scheduling
