Growing up on Waldron Island, Cornelius developed a strong foundation in resourcefulness and collaboration. His early exposure to island construction and boating fueled a passion for craftsmanship that has guided his career. He earned a bachelor's degree in political science and Scandinavian studies from Evergreen State College and further refined his skills in traditional wooden boat building in Norway. Over the years, Cornelius has excelled in custom woodwork and museum-quality artifact display, making him a creative problem solver with a keen eye for detail.
