Michael has over 40 years of experience in residential construction, specializing in building, renovating, and restoring homes. His career spans roles from apprentice carpenter to senior project manager, providing him with expertise at every level. His work includes projects ranging from restoring historic homes, dating to the 1600s, to constructing modern new builds. Many of these projects are in neighborhoods renowned for their architectural and historical significance. He is known for his ability to visualize the final product from the earliest stages.
Michael believes every decision has the potential to impact the project’s success. With a focus on clear and honest communication, he ensures that budgets, schedules, and expectations are transparent. He fosters a collaborative environment where all contributors feel appreciated and empowered. Joining Dowbuilt was a natural choice, as the company shares his passion for building and offers the sophistication, expertise, and infrastructure necessary for success.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys hiking, hunting, fishing, riding his dirt bike, and practicing yoga. He values time spent with his children and hosting gatherings for family and friends. A lifelong learner and builder at heart, he brings humor, honesty, and dedication to both his personal and professional life.
