As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, Alina enjoys making people feel welcome, whether in person or over the phone. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she brings her signature humor and positive attitude to every candidate interaction. In an increasingly automated hiring landscape, Alina understands how overwhelming the job search can be and takes pride in serving as a trusted, approachable resource for candidates during their recruiting process—in either language.

Alina graduated magna cum laude from the University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, providing a strong foundation for her career in recruiting. Before joining Dowbuilt, she worked for a non-profit specializing in second-chance employment, where she learned to navigate difficult conversations with empathy and compassion. Her educational background, combined with her professional experience, has shaped her into a thoughtful and effective recruiter.

Originally from Ecuador, Alina has called Seattle home for the past 10 years. Outside of work, you’ll find her at the gym, paddleboarding, getting brunch with friends, or hosting movie nights.
