Peach Court Residence
Peach Court is a 3,250-square-foot remodel we completed in collaboration with Wittman Estes in Seattle. Situated on a unique lot that spans the entire width of a city block—from street to street—the site presented significant access and protection challenges. Despite these constraints, we carefully planned and executed the remodel in record time.
Our work primarily focused on transforming the basement and main levels of the 1920s Craftsman home, which retained period details, including coffered ceilings, mahogany casework, built-ins, and pocket doors. The remodel balanced these classic elements with modern updates, blending old-world charm with contemporary design.
One of the project's key challenges was excavating around the basement to convert it into a garden-level dwelling and private courtyard. On the main level, the kitchen opens to the backyard through large, panoramic retractable doors, seamlessly connecting the indoor and outdoor living spaces.
