HAVE I BEEN IN MY CURRENT POSITION LONG ENOUGH TO CULTIVATE GOOD RELATIONSHIPS AND PROVE MY ABILITIES?

Eligibility for transferring out of a region and/or position at Dowbuilt is six (6) months. Principals and hiring managers prefer candidates who have been in their positions for at least six months to a year.

Request a check-in with your manager if you are seeking feedback on your performance or looking for guidance prior to exploring new opportunities within Dowbuilt.

WHAT ARE MY SKILLS, STRENGTHS, AND PASSIONS?

Be realistic about your strengths, professional passions, and preferences. They’ll help you recognize potential fit in a job opening. 
 

AM I READY FOR AN INTERVIEW?

Give ZOOM a trial run. Prepare in advance for a video, phone or (if possible) an in-person interview with a recruiter and the hiring managers.

KEEP IN MIND

THERE IS AN INITIAL WAITING PERIOD FOR NEW EMPLOYEES

Dowbuilt employees are not eligible for internal transfers for the first six (6) months of employment; this gives you time to get to know your new job and for us to get to know you.

AN INTERNAL CANDIDATE APPLICATION IS NOT A GUARANTEE OF TRANSFER

Please understand that submitting an application as a current employee is not a guarantee of transfer or relocation, regardless of tenure with Dowbuilt.

RELOCATION ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE

If Dowbuilt asks you to relocate, 100% of your actual moving costs will be covered. A scouting trip will be discussed in the final stage of the interview and selection process when considering an approved relocation to a region you are asked to relocate but are not yet familiar with. If you are requesting a relocation to a location that Dowbuilt has business operations and is registered to work, and your manager approves the relocation to be mutually beneficial, 50% of your actual moving costs will be covered. Please note that Dowbuilt will not provide relocation assistance to an employee who voluntarily relocates to a location where the company does not have business operations and is not registered to perform work. YOUR MANAGER AND REGIONAL PRINCIPALS WILL NEED TO BE NOTIFIED

Your manager and regional principal (as applicable) will be notified of your interest in a promotion or transfer prior to receiving a job offer. However, employees are encouraged to notify their managers sooner.

PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED

Your previous performance reviews will be taken into consideration by hiring managers during the interview process.

THERE IS A MINIMUM TRANSFER WINDOW TO A NEW ROLE OR REGION

There will be a minimum period of four (4) weeks between offer acceptance and your start date in a new role/region. This allows your previous team time to prepare for your departure and begin hiring/training your replacement, if needed.
