Alice Chai

Alice brings a wealth of technical knowledge of digital coordination, budget management, and problem solving to every project. She has great interpersonal skills, keeps a clear mind, and always has the final deliverable in sight. Before moving to the construction side of the business with Dowbuilt, Alice worked in architecture firms in NYC and has been a licensed architect since 2019. Her favorite part of a construction project is collaborating between architecture teams and field teams to solve complex construction issues digitally. She enjoys working with the digital construction team to anticipate construction tolerances, sequencing, and site challenges to visualize the architects’ design while resolving real life constraints. 

Alice earned a B.A. and B.Arch from Rice University and a M.Arch II from Harvard. She’s on the faculty of the School of Visual Arts where she taught digital fabrication and design/build classes. In her free time, Alice enjoys riding her bike and making ceramics.
