Vancouver Residence
This new construction 3,900-square-foot house in Vancouver, Canada is located on a site that was primarily granite, steep, densely populated, and on the water. All materials, parking, and storage had to be offsite. Almost 90% of the materials were barged and craned onto the site, including all masonry, concrete, steel windows, and doors. Due to the granite site, the entire foundation and the first floor were cut to specifications. The design called for museum-quality finishes, including furniture-grade cabinetry, precise interior masonry, and refined architectural metal.
